Purpose: 

It is an effective insecticide recommended for the control of adult mosquitoes in the household.

Pyrethrum : 002.0 % w/w 

Mineral terpentine Oil (MTO) : Qs to make

Precautions :- Avoid inhalation and skin contact. Do not drink, eat, smoke during application. Wash contaminated skin and clothe thoroughly. Destroy empty containers after use. Keep out of reach of children. Use protective clothing like gloves, apron, masks while handling. Remove, clothing at once if contaminated. 

Signs & symptoms of poisoning: The commonest manifestation of pyrethrum toxicity is contact dermatitis. There is intense pruritus. There may be allergic manifestations like hay fever. Patient show neurological manifestations including convulsions, muscular fibrillations and tetanic paralysis. 

First aid: 

1. Remove the patient from further exposure. 2. If inhaled get the victim into fresh air immediately. 3. If breathing has stopped, apply artificial respiration. 4. If the chemical has gone into victims eyes, flush the same with the plenty of water for atleast five minutes. 5. Call the doctor immediately and hand over the original container and leaflet if the pesticides have caused poisoning. 

Antidote No specific antidote is known. Give symptomatic and supportive therapy. Cautionary statements: not to be used for any purpose other than those prescribed in label and leaflet. destroy the container after use as directed on leaflet.
